The FibreCAT TX48 is a member of the FibreCAT family of Storage products from Fujitsu Siemens Computers. The FibreCAT TX48 is an ultra compact tape library with up to 48 media slots and up to four tape drives in 4 U footprint. It offers storage capability for up to 38.4 TB (LTO-3, compressed) respectively 19.2 TB (LTO-2, compressed). If ordered with 12 slots, the remaining 36 slots can be activated easily via soft key license (instant upgrade). The FibreCAT TX48 will be connected to a host using SCSI or FibreChannel, depending on the model. The system features up to two import/export slots, a build-in barcode reader and is LTO-3 WORM-ready.
