Improved Antivirus & Antispyware scanning

Inbound and outbound messages are scanned for viruses, worms, spyware and other threats. Scanner engine based on optimized ThreatSense® technology version 3.0 ensures even more sophisticated proactive protection and improved cleaning features.

Transparent Scanning and Spam Filter

POP3, SMTP and IMAP protocols can be scanned transparently for malware and spam. In addition, spam filter offers effective protection against unsolicited email using several methods simultaneously to reach excellent detection rates.

Supported agents and platforms

ESET Mail Security is fully compatible with most of the commonly used MTA, such as ZMailer, Postfix, Sendmail, Qmail, Exim, Kerio Mail Server and others.

Besides Linux and FreeBSD, NetBSD and Sun Solaris platforms are supported as well.

Support for Remote Administrator

ESET Mail Security is now compatible with ESET Remote Administrator version 2.

64-bit Systems Support

Now both, 32-bit and 64-bit Systems are supported.

Smaller update files

Core optimization processes keep the size of update files smaller than in previous version of Linux products. The protection of update files against damage has been improved as well.
