Key Features

Improved scanning by transparent proxy modules

HTTP and FTP protocols are scanned by ESET's unique scanner engine based on ThreatSense® technology version 3.0. Further core optimizations ensure even more sophisticated proactive protection and improved cleaning features. All inbound and outbound web traffic is automatically checked for signs of known and new malware.

In addition, ESET Gateway Security offers anti-malware scanning to protect Gateway services using the SafeSquid internet proxy.

Partial scan technique

The partial scan technique ensures safety and high performance in scanning of large HTTP object downloads.

Enhanced system and platform support

ESET Gateway Security supports both, 32-Bit and 64-Bit systems, which improves usability in comparison to older versions.

Besides Linux and FreeBSD, NetBSD and Sun Solaris platforms are supported as well.

Support for Remote Administrator

Gateway Security is now compatible with ESET Remote Administrator version 2.

Smaller Update Files

Core optimization processes keep the size of update files smaller than in previous version of Linux products. The protection of update files against damage has been improved as well.
