Automated Windows Deployment

ENGL Imaging Toolkit is a turnkey Windows deployment solution for ZENworks 10 Configuration Management and ZENworks 7 Desktop Management. A hardware independent image can be created for a given Windows OS and platform architecture (32 or 64-bit), and deployed to any desktop, laptop, and tablet PC. Imaging Toolkit can automate the deployment of Windows XP, Vista, and Server 2003 for both 32 and 64-bit platforms.

Imaging Toolkit is designed to automate the Windows build process, including device driver installation, computer naming, Novell Client / ZENworks Agent installation, ZENworks registration, joining Active Directory, installing applications, and performing any customization ready for the user to login and begin work.

Imaging Toolkit also includes tools to export OEM drivers from existing machines to ZENworks driver images, and download Windows updates and their dependencies to a ZENworks hotfixes images, both of which can be delivered at deployment time and automatically installed during the build process.

Although the entire Windows build process is configured by a single XML file, customs scripts can be run throughout the build process to customize the deployment further. If security is a concern, the keyboard and mouse can be locked down during the build process.

Imaging Integration

ENGL Imaging Toolkit integrates seemlessly with ZENworks imaging and provides additional security using LDAP authentication, imaging menus based on LDAP identity, and automated image selection and restore using build-in hardware discovery.

Imaging Toolkit can be used with ZENworks PXE and disconnected CDROM/DVD and USB imaging.
