Like all IT vendors, ROC Software needed a quick and easy way to demonstrate to customers that its products can solve their problems. Its solution: create a software appliance customers can test out without a lot of heavy lifting or installation headaches.
The results were compelling. In a new case study, ROC Software showcases how the SUSE Appliance Program has helped them to deliver their solution quickly, shorten customer sales cycles and capitalize on new market opportunities. Using SUSE Studio, one ROC developer was able to create and configure ROC’s EasySpooler Appliance in a matter of weeks.
“I don’t know how we would have built the appliance without SUSE Studio,” Vernon Hurdle, director of professional services for ROC Software, said. “It would have been unthinkable.”
The ROC story illustrates just how valuable software appliances can be to ISVs looking to get ahead. It’s no wonder this new delivery method is gaining major traction in the marketplace.
