If Microsoft was to get it's way, that would prevent the majority of everyone else from innovating upon prior works, which doesn't serve society and or the economy. What you end up with up is only a failed monopoly. Microsoft should be forced to make their code open for public review for everyone. That's the only way to insure things are legal and fair for all.
