Most of us are familiar with the SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS business models, sometimes considering them the ONLY cloud models out there. Recently, however, I have been stumbling on blog posts outlining other business models for the cloud. For example, Chirag Mehta of SAP recently wrote about “Emergent Cloud Computing Business Models”. So, are these really alternatives or just a subset of the existing models? Can the enterprise benefit from these new models the same way it does from the traditional "as-a-service" ones?

On this week's cloudchasers, Chirag Mehta and Justin Steinman will explore the different cloud-based business models. The episode will be streamed live on 7/1 at 4 pm ET. You can learn more here.

You can also catch up with old episodes of cloudchasers on our blog or iTunes.
