A community of volunteers who develop and promote OpenOffice.org today announced the formation of a new organization known as The Document Foundation. This new foundation, which plans to develop an open source office productivity suite under the brand "LibreOffice," is made up of leading members of the former OpenOffice.org community and includes developers, companies and even the Brazilian government.
