Prerequisites
Novell Audit can collect log events from one or more of the following applications:
- Novell Access Manager 3.1
- Novell eDirectory 8.8.4, including the following:
- eDirectory 8.8 SP3 Instrumentation Patch, available at download.novell.com
- If eDirectory is installed on NetWare, it must be updated with NICI 2.7.4, available at download.novell.com
- Novell Identity Manager 3.6
- Novell NMAS 3.1
- Novell SecretStore 3.4
- Novell SecureLogin 6.1
Depending on the application, configuring auditing for these applications may require iManager 2.7 or later, the Novell Audit iManager plug-in, and/or application-specific iManager plug-ins. See the related product documentation for more information on how to configure auditing.
Identity Audit Requirements
To manage 90 days of online data, the Identity Audit server must be installed on a server that meets the following requirements:
- Hardware: 64-bit Intel Xeon or AMD Opteron
- Operating System: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1 or SP2 (64-bit)
- Processor: 1x Quad Core processor (x86.-64)
- RAM: 16 GB RAM
- Disk Space: 1.5 TB usable disk space
Platform Agent Requirements
The Platform Agent 2.0.2FP6 or later must be installed on every server or workstation running applications that log events to Novell Audit. It supports the following platforms, but some of the applications listed above may have a narrower set of requirements:
- Open Enterprise Server 1 and 2
- Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows 2003, Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition
- SUSE Enterprise Linux Server 9, SUSE Enterprise Linux Server 10
- RHEL 3/4, RedHat AS 3.0/4.0, RedHat ES 3.0/4.0, RedHat Enterprise Linux AS 4, RedHat Enterprise Linux ES 4
- Solaris 9 and 10
- NetWare 6.5, OES NetWare
Browser Requirements
The Identity Audit application is accessed using a web browser. The following browsers are supported:
- Mozilla Firefox 2
