Support for OpenOffice.org Novell Edition
OpenOffice.org Novell Edition is a fully supported office productivity suite, the Linux version is available with SUSE® Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 and Novell also provides, and supports, a version for users of Microsoft Windows.

Novell offers two support programs for OpenOffice.org Novell Edition:
- Standard Subscriptions
- Priority Subscriptions
Novell's Standard Support Subscription provides customers with unlimited 12x5 electronic and telephone support. Novell's Priority Subscription for OpenOffice.org Novell Edition offers customers unlimited 24x7 electronic and telephone based support.
Standard and priority support subscriptions include support for individual bug fixes on defects reported by customers. Customers will receive Product Test Files (PTF) for individual bug fixes along with critical security updates, maintenance releases and the ability to request features for future versions and releases.
Interoperability for file sharing is a key benefit Novell provides customers with OpenOffice.org Novell Edition. OpenOffice.org Novell Edition supports interoperability with commonly used Microsoft Office file formats, found in Microsoft Office 2003 and earlier. Novell will support and provide bug fixes and updates for issues reported by customers on features concerning file format interoperability. Novell also supports Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Visual Basic for Applications enables integration of complex macros into documents and spreadsheets. Issues reported by customers involving Microsoft VBAs, or any other interoperability issues, are evaluated by our team of engineering professionals and bug fixes will be provided in the same formats mentioned earlier.
OpenOffice.org Novell Edition also includes a technology preview of the Office Open XML document format translator. Novell and Microsoft continue joint development of this important interoperability feature for customers. The translator enables users to read documents saved in Office Open XML, the default document format found in Microsoft Office 2007. The technology preview is intended for customers interested in evaluating the translator, however no warranties or commitments of support are included with this preview.
