overview

Nsure™ Identity Manager Driver 1.0 for SAP HR is a component of the Identity Manager Integration Module for Enterprise. This driver provides data integration between the SAP HR database and Novell® eDirectory™. This driver allows any changes made to information in the SAP HR system to be propagated to eDirectory and other business applications.

The Identity Manager framework uses XML and XSLT (Extensible Style Language Transformation) to provide data and event transformation capabilities between applications and databases. This allows for easy conversion between the SAP HR data format and other data formats.

Novell, Inc. is an SAP Software Partner, and Nsure Identity Manager Driver for SAP HR is an integration solution that has received "Validated" status from SAP Labs.

system requirements

We recommend that you create the Driver Set object before you install the SAP Identity Manager Driver. For more information, refer to the Novell Identity Manager 2 documentation.

  • Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 5 or Service Pack 6 or Windows 2000
  • Novell eDirectory 8.5 or later
  • Novell DirXML 1.1
The requirement for DirXML 1.1 comes from a security requirement that specifies that the transport between the eDirectory host server and the SAP HR host server will be secured via SSL. This requirement can only be met utilizing the DirXML Remote Loader technology available in 1.1 and later versions.
  • The Remote Loader must be installed on the SAP host platform.
The driver shim will run on any SAP R/3 HR host platform.
  • The SAP HR revision level 4.5B or higher.
  • ConsoleOne 1.2d or later
  • The system where the driver shim is running must have the SAP Java Connector (JCO) client technology installed for connectivity to the SAP HR system.
This client is freely available and is provided for most popular server operating systems.
