Novell eDirectory - Full Service Directory

Relationship: Organization

Provides a hierarchical structure to the directory in the form of a tree.

Organization provides a structure that allows objects to be containers that hold other objects or leaf object that represent actual resources such as users, printers, servers, and applications. This structure allows you to organize around your network layout and business needs. The Novell eDirectory full-service directory easily adapts to established relationships within the host organization. The host should not have to change to fit the directory.

Example:

The eDirectory tree is represented here as an inverted tree. The root, or top of the tree, is first, with the branches and leafs (containers and leaf objects) flowing downward. As an administrator you have great flexibility in defining how to represent your network resources.
