The Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack synchronizes data between GroupWise and a wide variety of mobile devices that use iPhone, Android, Symbian, Palm, and Windows Mobile operating systems. With the Mobility Pack, as changes in email, calendar, contact, event and other collaboration data occur in GroupWise or on your mobile device, those changes are seamlessly synchronized in real-time.
In addition to synchronizing collaboration changes between GroupWise and your mobile devices, Novell Data Synchronizer can use connectors to synchronize data between a variety of other systems as well, including SharePoint, SugarCRM and Salesforce.com. Whether in the office, at home or on the road, the Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack ensures users always have access to the data they need.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server for GroupWise
To enhance the wireless experience of BlackBerry smartphone users, Research in Motion (RIM) provides BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) for GroupWise. BES for GroupWise uses Push technology to deliver GroupWise messages and information to users' BlackBerry smartphones in near real-time. It keeps information on a user’s BlackBerry smartphone automatically updated with the information on their computers. As a result, email, calendar entries, contacts, tasks and memos all stay up-to-date.
BES 5.0.1 provides a wide array of new features, including full SOAP integration, making it no longer necessary to have the GroupWise client. Attachments in meeting requests and calendar entries can now be viewed from your mobile devices. It can synchronize multiple personal address books. BES now supports the Open Document Format (.odt, .ods, .odp) and includes a remote file explorer that lets you view, edit, save and email documents from your BlackBerry smartphone.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) Support Update: If you are still using BES 4.x, you should make plans to upgrade to BES 5.x as soon as possible. Developer support is ending in October 2011, and you should upgrade to BES 5.x before upgrading to GroupWise 2012.
