Product Overview
Increase the security of your IT infrastructure by automatically issuing and exporting certificates for your users and devices. Get the most out of your Identity and Access Management solution. The EJBCA driver for Novell's Identity Manager creates and exports certificates for any object in your central directory.
Based on the open source Certificate Authority EJBCA, the EJBCA driver creates certificates for any user, workstation or other objects in your central directory. Based on J2EE technology EJBCA constitutes a robust, high performance and component based CA. EJBCA is an enterprise class PKI, meaning that you can use EJBCA to build a complete PKI infrastructure for your organization.
The driver uses the state of the art SOAP protocol to communicate with the EJBCA infrastructure. Objects from your central directory, depending on object class and context, will be created as an entity in the EJBCA PKI infrastructure. You can define which EJBCA CA profile and entity profile the driver will use to create an appropriate certificate for the object.
The certificates are synchronized with your central directory. Certificates can automatically be exported in password protected files (pfx, cer, der etc.). Password and file location are configurable. A predefinable certificate renewal process guarantees the in-time recreation of new certificates.
