Novell iFolder 2.1
System Requirements
For more detailed system requirements, including prerequisites for each server platform, please see the iFolder 2.1 documentation.
Server Hardware
An enterprise-class server with the following components:- Minimum 450 MHz Intel* Pentium* II processor or higher
- Minimum 512 MB RAM. Add more RAM if the server supports programs or services other than iFolder. Add more RAM according to how many concurrent connections you intend to support.
- Storage capacity for server software (about 15 MB) and for the user data for all users' iFolder accounts. As a guide, consider the expected number of users and the quota of storage allotted for each iFolder user account. Also, consider the likely growth associated with each of the parameters to anticipate future demand for storage. For example, if you have 500 users and allocate a disk quota of 200 MB to each user, you must provide at least 100 GB of storage for iFolder accounts. Of course, not all users will fill their quota immediately. You must assess your initial needs, then monitor and expand physical capacity as usage grows.
- An active network or Internet connection with full two-way access to other computers on the network or Internet, or both, depending on your deployment
