Novell Open Enterprise Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Take Top Two Spots in VARBusiness ARC Awards Novell® Open Enterprise Server and SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server have swept the top spots for server operating systems in the Annual Report Card (ARC), a prestigious ranking by VARBusiness that identifies the top technologies among the solution provider channel. In a rare feat, Open Enterprise Server took first place in all four rated categories—product innovation, support, partnership and loyalty—while SUSE Linux Enterprise Server came in second, out positioning Microsoft's entries in this category. Based on interviews with thousands of channel partners, the ARC Awards are a premier indicator of partner satisfaction in the technology industry. |

Novell Open Enterprise Server praised as an infrastructure software "Product Breakthrough" by Network Magazine Novell® Open Enterprise Server recently earned a 2005 Network Magazine "Product Breakthrough" Innovation Award as in the infrastructure software category. Editors of CMP Media LLC's Network Magazine reviewed hundreds of products to honor what they believe are the most important and creative innovations of the year, selecting 30 winners who provide a glimpse into the future of IT. According to Network Magazine, "Sometimes [innovation is] about packaging exactly the right capabilities into exactly the right product and selling it at the right price. We recognize these masterpieces of product pragmatism with our Product Breakthrough award." |

Novell Open Enterprise Server wins coveted VARBusiness ARC award by sweeping Microsoft and others in products, support and partnership In VARBusiness Magazine's Annual Report Card (ARC) awards, partners ranked Novell Open Enterprise Server the highest in the Server Operating System category. Open Enterprise Server outpaced the competition by sweeping all subcategories to take top honors. "Take the best networking functionality and a leading-edge operating system platform and you have Open Enterprise Server," said David Patrick, vice president and general manager of Linux, Open Source Platforms and Services for Novell.
