Workstation Services
The Novell Client™ workstation software extends the capabilities of Linux and Windows desktops by providing access to NetWare® and Open Enterprise Server (OES). Once installed on workstations, Novell Clients enable users to enjoy the full range of Novell services such as authentication via Novell eDirectory™ network browsing and service resolution, and secure and reliable file system access—all delivered through industry-standard protocols. The Client supports Novell's traditional NCP protocol.

Novell Client for SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop
Deploying Linux for the first time–whether on the desktop or on the server–doesn't need to be a foreign undertaking. The familiarity of the Novell experience is preserved when you use Novell Client for Linux.
Novell Client for Linux provides Novell NetWare and Novell Open Enterprise Server connectivity to SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop or Novell Linux Desktop workstations by translating login script commands to their Linux counterparts. Once it is installed on workstations, users can enjoy the full range of Novell NetWare and Novell Open Enterprise Server services such as Novell eDirectory; single, synchronized login; and multiprotocol support–not to mention many mission-critical applications.

Novell Client 4.91 for Windows XP/2003 is workstation software that brings an easy-to-use, secure, and manageable networking environment to Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users. It enables you to access NetWare services from Windows XP workstations or Windows Server 2003 servers, and tightly integrates either product into your NetWare network. For example, with Novell Client for Windows XP/2003, you can browse through authorized NetWare directories, transfer files, print documents and use advanced NetWare services directly from a Windows XP workstation or Windows Server 2003.

The Novell Client for Windows supports both the 32-bit and x64 (AMD64 and Intel 64) versions of Windows 7, Windows Vista 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2. It has many of the same features as the Novell Client 4.91 for Windows XP/2003, is supported on Open Enterprise Server, and on NetWare 6.5.
