Novell SecureLogin

Seamless Integration

Deliver single sign-on (SSO) wherever users work. SecureLogin allows users to login in from anywhere and enjoy the same single sign-on functionality as if they were working from their desks.

Single Sign-on for Disconnected Users
All users, whether on the corporate network or working remotely without connectivity, can enjoy the benefits of Novell SecureLogin. Why? Because Novell SecureLogin not only stores application definitions and your credentials (username and password) in the corporate directory, but it also securely caches them locally—enabling single sign-on wherever you are. In fact, users don't even need to be logged into the network from their own machine. Once users log in to any computer connected to the directory, they are automatically authenticated to the applications, databases and operating system platforms they need to be productive.

For added benefit, SecureLogin operates in both connected and disconnected states so users can enjoy single sign-on even when not logged into the network. It can even be configured to require authentication against a pass-phrase when users are working offline.

Fast User Switching
In addition to its single sign-on features, Novell SecureLogin also includes a convenient Quick Login/Logout GUI that enables users to log in or out of all applications—and lock their workstations—through a single event, such as inactivity or proximity card removal.

This functionality is particularly useful in environments where multiple users share the same workstation—such as healthcare, manufacturing and retail. It ensures that the previous user is logged out of all applications before making the workstation ready for the next user—all without restarting the machine.
