Retired License

Introduction

The form allows you to enter the name of the company of the expiring license, contract number, program, etc. There are also plenty of fields to list which product, version and license type is being expired, the quantity being retired, and the amount of licenses still owned on that particular product. There is also a section at the bottom of the form for notes/comments. The workflow can be customized to notify your licensing department.

Description

Old software can be very costly to maintain and may not be compatible with new applications. To offset these costs, we've created a custom form and workflow to help you with your software licenses that are set to expire. The form allows you to enter the name of the company of the expiring license, contract number, program, etc. There are also plenty of fields to list which product, version and license type is being expired, the quantity being retired, and the amount of licenses still owned on that particular product. There is also a section at the bottom of the form for notes/comments. The workflow can be customized to notify your licensing department.

Special Deployment Instructions:

Before you begin with the normal Deployment Instructions, please note the following:

This form will not work unless you first prepare to create custom .jsp files: First, locate the existing .jsp files. From your server, go to -- ssf -- WEB-INF -- jsp -- custom_jsp. After you're here, create a folder named custom. This is where you will house all of your own custom .jsp files. Move the .jsp files from the .zip file to this new folder. You must then completely delete the .jsp files from the .zip file. You are now ready to proceed with the normal deployment instructions. Feel free to take a look at the code for these simple .jsp files after you begin. I'll admit they might seem lengthy but you would be amazed how quickly it goes with cut and paste.
