Listed below are the minimum system requirements for both physical and virtual systems used with these drivers. In order to use the paravirtualized drivers contained in the SUSE® Linux Enterprise Virtual Machine Driver Pack, the underlying hardware must be Intel Virtualization Technology (I-VT), or AMD Virtualization (AMD-V) enabled. Furthermore, the minimum requirements for the host operating system used must be SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1 (Xen 3.0.4).
Minimum system requirements for installation
- Local installation: 512 MB RAM, SSH-based network
- Graphical installation: 512 MB RAM, VNC-based network
- Installation via FTP: 512 MB RAM
Minimum system requirements for operation
- 512 MB RAM minimum, recommended for Windows Server 2008 guest: 2GB RAM per guest
- 750 MB hard disk space for software
- 750 MB hard disk space for user data
Recommended system requirements
- At least 512 MB RAM for Xen virtual host server
- At least additional 256 MB RAM per Xen virtual machine
