New in ZENworks Application Virtualization 9
ZENworks Application Virtualization is making it easier than ever to get your application portfolio into the hands of your workforce quickly and with minimal effort. Version 9 gives you enhancements that greatly reduce the time it takes to build custom-configured virtual applications, provide more deployment options for your users and give you more control over who can use applications. Enhancements include:

Application harvesting
You probably have a long list of applications that you have installed across your organization. You have them all configured just how you want them to work, and now would like the flexibility of having virtualized versions of these applications.
Version 9 lets you harvest these applications by scanning your installed applications and, with the push of a button, building virtual versions of these applications from recipes pulled from our application repository. Using this approach you can quickly virtualize your application portfolio with minimal effort—freeing up your time and resources for other projects.
Web-updated application templates
If you're familiar with ZENworks Application Virtualization then you know it provides a number of application templates, which give you another way to quickly build applications using a step-by-step wizard to walk you through the process. Version 9 improves on this by giving you access to a web-based repository of these templates to ensure you always have access to the latest templates.
Application jukeboxing
Take the time and hassle out of streaming an entire application suite when you only need one sub-application to run. Version 9 gives your workforce the ability to quickly stream only the applications they need, even when these applications are sub-components of a larger suite installation. No more waiting for applications you don't need.
Offline streaming support
ZENworks Application Virtualization introduced the enterprise to predictive streaming—an incredible way to stream your virtual applications 5-20x faster than conventional linear application streaming. Version 9 further enhances streaming by giving users the ability to use previously streamed applications without a persistent web connection. Now that streamed application will work on your plane ride.
Application control
Sometimes it's a little too easy to use virtualized applications, making license creep a real problem for many organizations. License audits are no fun. And it's even worse when you hit true-ups and face penalties for using more licenses than you purchased.
In addition to being able to time-bomb applications, version 9 gives you more control over how applications can be used. This includes requiring that the users meet Microsoft AD criteria, and that the device running the application is managed by ZENworks.
