When you click , the AFP server statistics window is displayed with the following information:
Table 11-1 AFP Server Performance Parameters
Parameter |
Description |
---|---|
Active Threads |
The number of threads that are presently active on the AFP server. |
Load Ratio |
The ratio of the total number of active threads to the total number of threads in the AFP server. |
Availability |
The ratio of the total number of events required for creation of a new thread compared to the number of events required to execute an AFP task. |
Efficiency Ratio |
The ratio of the total number of times that threads complete a task and then terminate themselves compared to the total number of times that threads complete a task. AFP always maintains a minimum number of threads in the pool. The minimum count of threads is set to 3 during installation, but you can modify it to increase the thread count in the pool. For more information on threads and connections, see Section 6.3, Configuring General Parameters. When the list of tasks to be executed by the AFP server is high and there are no idle threads in the thread pool, the AFP server creates a new pool of threads. After a thread finishes its assigned task, if it finds a minimum number of threads in the thread pool, the thread terminates itself. The AFP server maintains a record of such events. |
Connections |
Number of AFP client sessions that are currently connected to the AFP server. |
You can control the number of log entries shown at one time by specifying your preference in the corresponding text field. For example: If you want to view the last 10 log entries of the AFP server, specify 10 in the Latest Log Entries to display field.
