Note: The Expansion Pack is specific to installations of the Novell Small Business Suite Starter Pack. The Expansion Pack supersedes the Novell Small Business Suite Starter Pack license constraints and provides five additional user licenses. Customers should purchase the Expansion Pack only to expand the license count of a Novell Small Business Suite Starter Pack network. (The Expansion Pack will not work in a regular Novell Small Business Suite network.) The Expansion Pack purchase is a one-time purchase. Once it is deployed, the Novell Small Business Suite Starter pack essentially becomes the Novell Small Business Suite, in that it can now accept additive licenses, just like the regular Novell Small Business Suite product. |

Upgrade to Novell Linux Small Business Suite
Customers who have Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 or 6.6 and have current upgrade protection are able to receive Novell Linux Small Business Suite at no additional charge. Customers who currently have Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 or 6.6 may deploy Novell Linux Small Business Suite as part of their existing Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 or 6.6 eDirectory tree and enjoy the benefits of NetWare and Linux in the same network. Customers deploying in this manner may install up to three Linux servers (in addition to their current NetWare servers), but they may not exceed their current Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 or 6.6 user count unless they purchase additional user licenses.
Customers using the Novell Linux Small Business Suite to replace their existing Novell Small Business Suite are entitled to the same user count for their Novell Linux Small Business Suite as they had for the Novell Small Business Suite 6.5 or 6.6. In this scenario customers would need to remove their NetWare servers and replace them with the Linux servers. Any additional users would need to be purchased.
Qualifying products for upgrade pricing are listed below.
- Any previous version of Novell Small Business Suite
- NetWare 4.x, NetWare 5.x or NetWare 6
- Microsoft Small Business Server 2000 or Microsoft Small Business Server 2003
- Microsoft NT, Microsoft Windows Server (any edition)

Novell Small Business Suite 6.6 and GroupWise 7 Promotion
Novell is pleased to announce the availability of GroupWise 7 to customers who own Novell Small Business Suite 6.6 with current upgrade protection or to customers who purchase Novell Small Business Suite 6.6 with current upgrade protection. (Novell Small Business Suite 6.6 and GroupWise 7 promotional SKU is priced at $575 per 5 new users. This price includes first year of upgrade protection.)
- GroupWise 7 is available free of charge to owners of Novell Small Business Suite 6.6 who have current upgrade protection prior to October 1, 2005 at their customer care portal.
- GroupWise 7 is available free of charge to existing owners of Novell Small Business Suite 6.6 who purchase upgrade protection during the course of the promotion. Customers will need to order the new promotional media kit and the existing Novell Small Business Suite 6.6 upgrade protection part number.
- GroupWise 7 is available free of charge to those who purchase Novell Small Business Suite 6.6 with upgrade protection during the course of the promotion. These new customers will need to order the new promotional media and license/upgrade protection part number.
This six-month promotion provides a GroupWise license for each Small Business Suite license.
