iChain 2.2 - iManage Configuration Quick Start

fact

iChain 2.2

NetWare 6 SP2

fix

iManager v1.5

iManager v1.0 is included with NetWare 6, v1.2 with CSP8, and v1.5 is included with Falcon (with Falcon, iManager v1.5 is included on a companion cd and must be installed manually). iManager prior to v1.5 allows management of  DNS, DHCP, iPrint, and Licensing. Other products such as Zen For Servers 3.0 can implement snap-ins to iManager for administration. IManager v1.5 adds many new plugins for management of other products. By default, iManager runs on secure port 2200 of the server’s primary address.

To access without iChain:

  1. https://<DNSname>:2200 gets to the default Netware Web Manager page with links to iManager and other web utilities
  2. https://<DNSname>:2200/eMFrame accesses iManager directly, prompts for login.

To access through an accelerator as configured below:  http://<DNSnameOfAccelerator>/eMFrame

Accelerator Configuration:

On Web Server Accelerator page:

Name:  imanage

DNS Name: cpq350.imanage.dsm.cit.novell.com

Cookie Domain: dsm.cit.novell.com

Use host name sent by browser is selected

Web Server Port: 2200

Web Server Address: 10.251.201.2 (Primary ip address of a NW6 server)

Accelerator Proxy port: 80

Accelerator IP address: 10.251.200.1

Enable Authentication is enabled

Authentication options:

Service Profile=ldap

Forward authentication info to web server is enabled

Enable Secure Exchange is enabled

SSL Listening Port: 443

Certificate: Auto

Secure Exchange Options:

Client<-443->Proxy<-2200->Web Server

“Enable secure access between the iChain Proxy and the Origin Web Server” is enabled

“Allow pages to be cached at the browser” is not enabled

On Access Control Page:

 select “Enable Form Fill Authentication”

ConsoleOne Configuration

In ConsoleOne->ISO object properties:

Add resource for the iManager web site:

Name=imanage

URL Prefix=http://cpq350.imanage.dsm.cit.novell.com/*

Access: Restricted

Single Sign On through iChain:

There is a problem with the login form page in iManager versions prior to 1.5. The form is missing the closing </form> tag and Form Fill cannot be used. The problem is fixed in iManager v1.5. The following script has been used successfully with iManager v1.5:

<urlPolicy>

<name>imanage</name>

<url>cpq350.imanage.dsm.cit.novell.com/*</url>

.

<formCriteria>

<title>Novell iManager</title>

</formCriteria>

<actions>

<fill>

<input name="AuthenticateName" value="~">

<input name="AuthenticatePassword" value="~">

<input name="AuthenticateContext" value="~">

<input name="AuthenticateTree" value="~">

</fill>

<post/>

</actions>

</urlPolicy>

<urlPolicy>

   <name>imanageLoginFailure</name>

   <url>cpq350.imanage.dsm.cit.novell.com/*</url>

   <formCriteria>

      fw.AuthFailHeader

   </formCriteria>

   <actions>

      <deleteRemembered>imanage</deleteRemembered>

      <redirect>cpq350.imanage.dsm.cit.novell.com/eMFrame/iManager.html</redirect>

  </actions>

</urlPolicy>

Another example, used with iChain 2.2.025 and iManager 1.5 on NW6/SP3.A30

<urlPolicy>

   <name>imanage</name>

   <url>cpq350.dsm.cit.novell.com/eMFrame/*</url>

   <formCriteria>

      <title>Novell iManager</title>

   </formCriteria>

   <actions>

      <fill>

         <input name="AuthenticateName" value="~">

         <input name="AuthenticatePassword" value="~">

         <input name="AuthenticateContext" value="~">

         <input name="AuthenticateTree" value="~">

      </fill>

      <post/>

   </actions>

</urlPolicy>

<urlPolicy>

   <name>imanageLoginFailure</name>

   <url>cpq350.dsm.cit.novell.com/eMFrame/*</url>

   <formCriteria>

      fw.AuthFailHeader

   </formCriteria>

   <actions>

      <deleteRemembered>imanage</deleteRemembered>

      <redirect>cpq350.dsm.cit.novell.com:2200/eMFrame/iManager.html</redirect>

  </actions>

</urlPolicy>
