Modifying Schema with ICE in iManager requires cache refresh

Novell eDirectory 8.8 for All Platforms

Novell iManager 2.7
Situation
When you change schema (add/delete/modify) using any of the
explicit schema tasks iManager 2.6 or 2.7, the changes are
reflected in the cached schema that you can view with the schema
tools immediately. However, if you modify schema using ICE,
the changes are not reflected in the cached schema. This
makes it so any changes made via ICE (or any other external tool)
aren't visible in the current iManager session. It may appear
that such changes have not yet been committed to the DIB, but in
fact the changes are done, just not reflected in the local iManager
schema cache.
Resolution
This has been fixed in iManager 2.7 SP2. As of this version, the schema management tasks for class and attribute information will refresh the schema cache held in iManager.
