GroupWise WebAccess displays blank page instead of Login page

Novell GroupWise 8
Novell GroupWise WebAccess 7
Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9

Situation


When users connect to the GroupWise WebAccess URL (typically something like http://mail.company.com/gw/webacc ), they see a blank page instead of the WebAccess Login page.
GWAP>, -, ERROR, -, Config failed: GroupWise WebAccess Agent
Error: Configuration file not found (/opt/novell/groupwise/webaccess/commgr.cfg)
Unable to login to GroupWise WebAccess

Resolution

Check permissions on the following file (/opt/novell/groupwise/webaccess/commgr.cfg).  Increase permissions for that file to at least 644 (rw-r--r--) and then exit Tomcat5 (rctomcat5 stop), and restart (rctomcat5 start).
