ZENworks for Servers Policy and Distribution Services do not work if you didn't have the DNS lookup and reverse lookup configured properly before installing.

Resolution

Modify the Distributor and Subscriber object in the following way

1. Open the properties of each object
2. Click on the Other tab
3. Click on the + sign next to the Network Address Attribute
4. Highlight the entry underneath that and click the Modify button
5. Click the ... button (browse) next to the number now
6. In the Net Address section click the ... button (browse)
7. Click your mouse in the Ascii section and manually set the DNS name right
8. Click OK. If the Ok button is greyed out then click cancel and change the NetAddress Type to something then back to type_13 then click the browse and edit it.
9. On the Distributor delete the SYS:\ZENWORKS\PDS\TED\security\private\.keystore file
10. In ConsoleOne right click on the Distributor object and choose"Resolve Certificates" and this will recreate the .keystore file and send that info out to each subscriber.
Once the above is complete, go to the subscribers filesystem, rename the ted.cfg file and reload the subscriber. Refresh the Distributor and once the Distrbutor contacts the Subscriber and reloads it with its configuration a new ted.cfg file will be recreated.
