Password not resetting for user with GWCheck

Environment

Novell GroupWise 8
Novell ConsoleOne 1.3.6
Novell GroupWise GWCheck

Situation

Need to manually restore user's mailbox, but the password must be changed first.
Ran GWCheck with Reset Client Options and the Clear user's password option, upon running those options the password does not clear.
Ran ConsoleOne's Mailbox/Library Maintenance on the user with Reset Client Options and the Clear user set password option, upon running those options the password does not clear. 

Additional Information

This is a combination of two issues: 
1)  At the time that this TID was written, there is a bug that prevents users from properly clearing user's passwords with any GroupWise system utility.  Passwords must manually be changed for the user in their user properties.
2)  The clear password option can be a little confusing and a little ambiguous.  Using that option will not just clear or blank out the password, but it will actually pull the the system default password and assign it to the user.  The system default password is set under Tools, GroupWise System Preferences, Default Password.  There are additional TIDs that talk about this.
