10.1 Remote Management
Situation
Every time the Remote Management agent starts, or a session is
established, log files are created at the root of the C:
drive
Resolution
This is fixed in version 10.1.1 - see KB 7001406 "ZENworks 10
Configuration Management 10.1.1" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Additional Information
With this fix, log files will be created in "C:\Windows\temp\ZENworks\Logs".
To have the logs created in a different location, create a new registry value, a string,
for ZCM 10.3 onwards,
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Novell\ZCM","TempLogPath"
for earlier versions,
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Novell\ZENworks","TempLogPath".
When the "Novell ZENworks Remote Management Service" is next restarted, the log files will be created in the location specified by the registry.
