Problems archiving to network drive with GroupWise client for Macintosh

Environment

Novell GroupWise 6.5 client for Macintosh
Novell GroupWise 7.0 client for Macintosh
Novell GroupWise 8.0 client for Macintosh

Situation

Problems archiving to network drive with GroupWise Macintosh client
Error specifying archive directory in Macintosh GW client
Error: "C067 Database store number is invalid"
Error moving message to archive
Error: "Can't archive message.  com.novell.gw.engine.EngineException"
Error: "8209 Path to the file is invalid or the file does not exist"
Error: "820E"


Resolution

Archiving messages to a network drive is not supported for the GroupWise client for Macintosh versions 6.5, 7.0x, or 8.0x due to potential issues with file integrity and database corruption when archiving to a network location.

To archive messages from the GroupWise client for Macintosh, you must specify a location on your local workstation (see the GroupWise 8 Client for Macintosh product documentation at http://www.novell.com/documentation/gw8/gw8_userlinmac/index.html?page=/documentation/gw8/gw8_userlinmac/data/maint_archive.html )
