No bounce back for relayed messages

Environment

Products:
Novell GroupWise 8 Hot Patch 1
 
Configuration:
GWIA set to relay messages or /fut switch being used

Situation

No bounce back for messages that GWIA receives through SMTP and then tries to deliver it using SMTP but the address in invalid
No bounce back for relayed messages if the recepient is invalid
No bounce back for messages with invalid recepient that GWIA accepts and then tries to send it to the IP Address mentioned in /fut switch or mentioned in Properties of GWIA | SMTP/MIME | Undeliverable

Resolution

Reported to Engineering. This is planned for GroupWise 8 Hot Patch 2. At the time of writing this TID, GroupWise 8 Hot Patch 2 was not publicly available. Please contact Novell Technical Services if the fix is needed before the official release.

Steps to Duplicate
  1.  Enable Relaying by going to the Properties of GWIA | Access Control | Relay Settings.
  2. Telnet to GWIA on port 25 and type the following commands. Make sure to press Enter after each command
    ehlo gmail.com
    mail from:ValidUserid@gmail.com
    rcpt to:InvalidUserid@yahoo.com
    data
    This is test
    .
    quit
  3. GWIA accepts the message and tries to relay the message to yahoo.com but since the address in invalid, it should generate a bounce back to the sender but it does not.
This works fine with GWIA 7
