Unable to download some messages using IMAP Client

Unable to download some messages using IMAP Client such as Thunderbird or Outlook Express
Few messages just show downloading but never complete downloading when using IMAP
GroupWise Client crashes when trying to open few IMAP messages

Workaround Steps:
Archive and unarchive the problem messages by following the steps listed below:
  1. Login to GroupWise Client.
  2. Click Tools | Options | Environment | File Location.
  3. Make sure the Archive directory has a path set. If not type a local path. Eg c:\archive (Windows) or /tmp/archive (Linux).
  4. Click OK.
  5. If it prompts to create the directory, click Yes.
  6. Click Close to exit the Options.
  7. Right Click on the problem message and click "Move to Archive" (GroupWise 7 Client) or "Archive" (GroupWise 8 Client).
  8. Once the message vanishes, click File | Open Archive to switch to the Archive mailbox.
  9. Right Click on the archived messages and click "Move to Archive" (GroupWise 7 Client) or "Archive" (GroupWise 8 Client) to unarchive it.
  10. Click File | Open Archive again to exit out of Archive mailbox.
  11. Now try downloading the message using IMAP Client.
