Users are removed from the document's shared list when using the address selector to add new users.

This document (7003934) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

Novell GroupWise 8
Novell GroupWise 8.0.0 Hot Patch 2 Win32 Client.

Situation

When adding users to the sharing list of a document using the address book
selector an error occurs "Not a valid GroupWise user". After that that user is
added to the sharing list and all other existing users on the share list are
removed.

STD:
1) Take an existing docuemnt and add a user or two to the sharing list and give
them rights to the docuement.
2) Open the properties of the document and go to the sharing tab.
3) Click on the address book selector button.
4) Select another user to share the document with and click ok.

An error will popup saying "Not a valid GroupWise user". The new selected users
will be added and the old users will be removed from the sharing list.

This may cause inconsistancies in the rights of users assigned to this document.

Resolution

This has been reported to development.
Using name completion instead of the address book selector allows the rights to be assigned correctly.
