Support for GroupWise 8 client for Mac on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

GroupWise 8.0.0 client for Macintosh

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Situation

Is the Novell GroupWise 8.0 client for Macintosh supported on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard?
Error launching GroupWise 8.0 (unpatched 8.0.0 release) client for Macintosh
Error: "Cannot launch Java application.  Uncaught exception in main method: java.lang.NullPointerException"

Resolution

Upgrade to the GroupWise 8.0 Support Pack 1 (SP1) client for Macintosh.  Initial tests of the GroupWise 8.0 SP1 client running on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard indicate that it should function correctly.

However, because Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard was released shortly before GroupWise 8.0 Support Pack 1, Novell was not able to fully test the GroupWise 8.0 SP1 client for Mac running on the final release of Mac OS 10.6, and plans to officially support that configuration with the release of GroupWise 8.0 Support Pack 2.
