Environment

Novell GroupWise 8
Novell GroupWise 7
Novell GroupWise 6.5

Situation

In ConsoleOne, in the GroupWise view. Right click the GroupWise System, Domain or Post Offfice | choose Information.
What is the difference between Users and Total Mailboxes ?  There seem to be discrepencies.

For example:
Users: 972
Total Mailboxes: 1008

Resolution

Users is a count of the user records in the wpdomain.db database.
Mailboxes is a count of the databases found in the ofuser directory for a given post office.

The differences usually come when users have been deleted from ConsoleOne but their mailboxes were not removed, so their userxxx.dbs remain in the postoffice\ofuser directory.
