No system serial number picked up by the collector after 10.2.1 update

Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 2 - 10.2 Discovery

Situation

System serial number is no longer collected by the Inventory agent after the 10.2.1 update.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.3.2 - see TID 7007237 "ZENworks Configuration Management 10.3.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at http://www.novell.com/support

A fix for this issue is included in ZENworks 11, see TID 7006995 "ZENworks 11 - information and updates" which can be found at http://www.novell.com/support
 

Additional Information

The missing system serial number is not only a problem when viewing reports but also affects the reconciliation capabilities of the product.
