How to enable debug logging on the iFolder server

Situation

If you need to see more of what is happening on the iFolder server to troubleshoot sync, or performance issues, you need to set the server logging to debug.

Resolution

Change the iFolder log settings in the following:

 <data store>/simias/Simias.log4net (change "INFO" to "DEBUG" see red indicator below)

<data store> indicates where your data store resides. Default location is /var/simias/data

After saving the change to the Simias.log4net, restart Apache (rcapache2 restart) to initiate debug logging. 

The iFolder log file is located <data store>/simias/log/Simias.log
