Workstation can be unlocked without successfully passing NESCM authentication

This document (7005643) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Novell Client for Vista

When unlocking a workstationi using the NESCM method, if the authentication fails (e.g. by not supplying smartcard, wrong pin, etc.), the Novell Client presents the message, "Would you still like to authenticate to Active Directory" and allows the user to unlock the workstation using the Active Directory password.
The client should not continue to the Windows login until the NMAS/NESCM authentication is successful.
Using the NDS login method works fine.

This issue is resolved in the Novell Client 2 SP1 for Windows (IR2) or later.
