Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 3 - 10.3 Bundles

Situation

  • Followed process in TID 7005032"Bundle shortcut icons are not visible in the Start menu of a Windows 7 or Windows 2008 R2 device" to make Start Menu icons visible
  • Desktop folder relocated to network share
  • Bundle shortcut icons are not visible in the Start Menu

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.3.2 - see KB 7007237 "ZENworks Configuration Management 10.3.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Workaround:
Create the following registry key on the target device
HKLM/software/Microsoft/windows/current version/explorer/Desktop/namespace/{763370C4-268E-4308-A60C-D8DA0342BE32}
