Junk mail delivered to Inbox

Novell GroupWise 8

Situation

Mail marked as X-spam is delivered to users Mailbox instead of Junk Mail Folder.

Resolution

 Please upgrade to GroupWise 2012

Steps to Duplicate
 
GroupWise 8
  1. Launch ConsoleOne.
  2. Right Click GWIA object | Properties | SMTP/MIME - make sure junk mail is enabled
  3. Login to GroupWise Client as user1.
  4. Dlick on Tools | Junk Mail Handling | Settings | Junk Mail, Check at "Enable Junk Mail Handling"
  5. Launch Command Prompt on windows/Linux workstation.
  6. Telnet to GWIA on port 25 and type the following commands

ehlo novell.com
mail from:test1@example.com
rcpt to:test2@dom.examle.com
data
From:user5@dom.example.com
To:user1@dom.example.com

Subject: data1
X-SPAM-FLAG:Yes
This is test
.
quit
 
Make sure to type "X-SPAM-FLAG:Yes" without any spaces. 
Now login as user1 and the mail would be in the Malibox folder because the From Field contains the users Domain name.
 
As this mail is marked as X-SPAM-FLAG:Yes, This e-mail should be delivered in users Junk Mail Folder, Should not check the From field content.
