The SLP registration for bindery.novell for cluster resources does not reregister any quicker than 1800 seconds
This document (7007018) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.
When cluster resources load, the bindery.novell registration is created with the "ncpcon bind ..." command. It uses the n4u.nds.advertise-life-time ndsconfig setting to determine the length of the registration, but it does not use that setting to determine when it will be reregistered. It simply reregisters every 1800 seconds.
This means that a setting of 900 seconds for n4u.nds.advertise-life-time, will cause the bindery.novell registration to exist for 900 seconds and then be missing for the next 900 seconds until it reregisters. To work around this issue, set n4u.nds.advertise-life-time to at least 1800 seconds.
