Virtual CD-ROM drive is unavailable after V2V migration or failover

Environment
PlateSpin Migrate 9.1
PlateSpin Protect 10.1
Situation
After a migration or failover of a Windows VM from ESXi to ESXi (V2V) the CD-ROM drive on the target VM is unusable.
Resolution
This issue occurs because VMware Tools does not get uninstalled from the target VM upon configuration and ESX mounts the VMware Tools ISO for installation. With the VMware Tools ISO mounted, the CD-ROM drive cannot be used.
To resolve this issue, right-click on the VM in question and select 'End VMware Tools installation'.
The CD-ROM should now be available for use.
