Situation

The warning "Failed to synchronize part of the roaming profile. Check the event log for
details" may occur when using roaming profiles and bookmark policies.

Additional Information

The synchronization error caused by the bookmark policy is primarily cosmetic in nature.

It is caused by the unenforcement of the bookmark policy at logoff, which alters the total number of bookmarks in the profile after Windows has already calculated the number of bookmarks to be synchronized.
