Situation

Upgrading ZCM from 11.2 (11.2, 11.2 MU1 or 11.2 MU2) to 11.2.x

Zone uses external (Remote OEM) Sybase database on SLES 11 (see https://www.novell.com/documentation/zenworks11/zen11_installation/data/bb1nakx.html)

The upgrade fails with errors:
Status: ERROR

Resolution

For ALL external (Remote OEM) Sybase database on SLES 11 upgrades from ZCM 11.2 to 11.2.x, obtain sybase-asa-12.0.1-3723.i586.rpm from https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=DSqapy7pHNY~ "ZCM 11.2.1 - RPM to upgrade database to ZCM 11.2.x when using external OEM Sybase on Linux" and follow the instructions provided at the download site.

If omitted during the update, this file may be applied afterwards.

Additional Information

Note this does not affect Sybase databases running on SLES 10
