Environment
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
Situation
When an image file is created using a bootcd and img, the file stored on the image server is owned by root. Because the image file is owned by root, using Image Explorer will not allow a non-root user to save changes to the image file.
Resolution
Workarounds:
- Open the image file using image explorer and do a "save as" and create an additional image file.
- log into the ZCM server as root and use the chmod command to change the group rights to read write.
