Situation

/var/log/messsages shows:
Nov  28 15:38:09 fs0 /usr/sbin/namcd[31772]:  GetGIDsGroupListNumberOfGroupsOfWS: Error [32] in LDAP search while trying to find group FDNs with scope=base for cn=UNIX Workstation - fs0,ou=services,o=nts

Resolution

In the /etc/nam.conf change the workstation-context=  to point to the context in which the UNIX Workstation object is for this server.
