Remote Management agent floods root drive with log files

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 Remote Management

Situation

Each time the agent is started, or each time a user opens a remote control session, the remote agent creates 6 files of 1KB on the root of the drive.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.2 - see TID 7010757 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at http://www.novell.com/support/search.do?usemicrosite=true&searchString=7010757

With this fix, it is possible to create a registry key "ExternalLogger" under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Novell\ZCM\Remote Management\Agent.
If the value is 0 the external logs are not enabled. If it is any value > 0 the external logs will be enabled.
Logs will be logged into "AgentInstallPath\Logs\ExternalStore".
AgentInstall path is defined under : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Novell\ZCM, "AgentInstallPath"
