Environment
Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2
Novell ZENworks Mobile Management 2.x
Novell ZENworks Mobile Management 2.x
Situation
ZMM stops functioning properly, all connectivity to mobile devices stopped working. Additionally,
this could affect login to the user portal on the server.
this could affect login to the user portal on the server.
Resolution
The default Novell Datasync installation creates a 512-bit key. That means that anyone that uses the default Datasync SSL setup on their Datasync server, and applies the MS patch which limits lower key lengths, will hit
this issue. Most customers purchase a commercial cert
for Datasync, which is 2048-bit, so this would only be seen if using internal Datasync default Certs.
