Unable to open attachments with GW2012 client.

Environment

Novell GroupWise 2012

Situation

You receive a mail with attachments that you want to open but after you try to open it, nothing happens.

Resolution

You have probably moved a directory "My Documents" to some other than default location on user workstation and that is not available or you flagged it as Read Only. GW2012 client relies upon access to this folder where it saves mail attachments first before opening it from that location. Since "My Documents" is not available, client fails.
This was one of intended design changes for GW2012 clients.
You will need to return "My Documents" directory back to its default location on C drive.
