Situation

How do I apply or update my NetIQ Vigilent Policy Center software license?
How do I apply or update the license key in Vigilent Policy Center (VPC)?
How do I upgrade my VPC license key?
How do I upgrade my trial VPC license key to a permanent VPC license key?

Resolution

To enter a new VigilEnt Policy Center (VPC) license: 

  1. Log on to the VPC Administration Site with the VPC Admin account.
  2. Click the Administration tab.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Click the Licensing tab.
  5. Enter the new license information in the New License Key text box.
  6. Click Update.

Note: The license key for VPC is in the form of a character string consisting of AlphaNumeric and Special characters.  It is not a license file (.lic).
